Skunk Sprayed Your Dog?

Many skunk odor remover products are available for purchase at pet stores. The skunk's spray is oil based, so the cleaner you use needs to release the oil from your pets hair. The old wives' tale of using tomato juice does not work. Using a perfume will help hide some of the odor, but will not remove it.

We have a recipe that you can make at home that works to remove the smell. Combine 2 Quarts of hydrogen peroxide, 1 Cup baking soda and 1 Tablespoon Dawn dish soap. (Do not use any other soap, Dawn works the best). Mix well. Wash your pet in this mixture. (Be careful with the peroxide mixture, it may damage carpets, garments, towels and other cloth objects). Then rinse your pet. If your pet still smells you can rewash and rinse your dog, or purchase a female douche and use that to wash your pet. Then rinse your dog. If your dog was sprayed in the mouth, you can give your dog plain yogurt. For a small dog, give them a 1/2 of a single serving container of yogurt. For a medium dog, give them a whole single serving container. For a large dog, give them 2 containers of single serve yogurt.

Clinic Restoration - Done!!!

Clients have noticed some changes over the past few months. We are making many changes to the outside of our historic building. The blue multi-colored tile has been removed and new tile has been placed on the front of the building. We have replaced our front door and have a new design printed on the door. The side and front landscaping has been redesigned by a local professional landscaper. Landscaping has been done along the side of the building, the front will be planted next spring. The building's trim and awnings have been repainted.
